Saint George Slaying the Dragon, Engraving After Master F.V.B.
A mounted knight in armor thrusts a long lance into a writhing dragon beneath a rearing horse, while a woman in a long dress and a figure with a sword stand at left on a hillside. A castle tower rises on the distant cliff, and a coiled serpent-like tail curls among rocks at lower right. The fine hatched linework of this black-and-white engraving gives the scene its detail.
