Woodcut in a black border showing horned devils and hatted witches holding hands in a ring, dancing.

Witches and Devils Dancing in a Circle, Woodcut, 1720

A black-and-white woodcut framed by a ruled border shows five horned devilish figures alternating with robed, hat-wearing witches who join hands in a ring. Fine hatched lines shade the ground and the figures' clothing. The scene is crowded and energetic, with the dancers spread across the whole frame.
