Grid of sixteen black-and-white photos of a mustached man in a suit, head fitted with a white measuring band, shown from multiple angles.

Bernard Hollander demonstrating cranial measurement with a head band, c. 1902

A grid of sixteen black-and-white photographs shows a man with a mustache wearing a white band across his head, photographed in profile, from behind, from above and in front, with a triangular marker on the band in several frames. The consistent framing and lighting suggest a measurement demonstration, a historical method of phrenology.
