The Adoration of the Magi, tempera and gold panel
A gilded panel shows the Virgin Mary seated at right in a dark blue mantle, holding the Christ Child, while a kneeling king in a red-and-white robe offers a gift. Other crowned and hatted figures, a white horse, and a gold-ground rocky landscape crowd the scene under a red-roofed building.
