Engraved oval portrait of a veiled woman in profile, framed by putti pouring liquid, with a shell motif and Latin inscription below.

Temperance, plate 7 from Seven Virtues engraving

An engraved oval portrait of a veiled woman with her head turned to the left, set within an ornate frame. Putti in the corners pour liquid from vessels, and a shell and scrollwork decorate the base, above a Latin inscription line. The fine, dense hatching gives the figure soft modeling.
