Engraving of a standing woman in flowing robes with a serpent coiled around her arm, set against a hilly landscape with a tree.

Prudence, from The Virtues, engraving

A standing female figure in flowing drapery holds a mirror and a serpent entwined around her arm, a mirror-like oval in her right hand. She gazes to the side against a hilly landscape with a tree on the right, and a Latin inscription runs along the bottom margin. The fine, dense hatching gives the print a sculptural, graceful finish.
