Night Rain of Genjo, from Parodies of Eight Scenes from Noh Chants

A young woman in a patterned kimono stands in the rain beneath a yellow oiled-paper umbrella, holding a lantern and a small bundle. Behind her, a wooden fence and latticed wall are patterned with falling rain streaks, and a bare branch rises at upper right. The color woodblock print uses soft yellow, orange, and gray tones.
