Boy Picking Fleas from a Little Dog

A boy in a brown jacket and teal breeches sits on a wooden chair, bent over a small white and brown spaniel in his lap as he searches its coat. A hat rests on a bench in the foreground, and a book and pipe lie on a table in the dim interior.
