August: Harvest Scene from The Twelve Months

A circular engraving shows a harvest landscape with a figure leaning over a wagon of sheaves and workers reaping grain in the foreground. A man in a hat stands at right beside a stream, and a sheaf-laden cart and a half-hidden figure lie in the field. Trees and a half-timbered farmhouse frame the rural scene.
