Etching of an apothecary holding a vial to the light while a woman in a headscarf sits at his counter; a skeleton with a scythe looms outside the window.

A woman visits an apothecary; death lurks nearby

An apothecary in period dress holds up a small glass vial to the light while a seated woman in a headscarf watches from the counter. Through the window behind them, a skeleton holding a scythe looms outside, and a sign hangs on the glass. This dense etching uses fine hatched lines for shadow and texture.
