Um tríptico de três painéis mostra mulheres elegantemente vestidas sentadas em uma varanda de madeira diante de biombos de papel com treliça e bambu, várias delas tocando instrumentos de corda como o shamisen. Impresso com tinta tingida de verde e vermelho e contornos pretos, as folhas hosoban não aparadas têm um aspecto plano, delicado e decorativo.
