Painting of a bearded hermit reading at a stone table in a cave, surrounded by witches, grotesque demons and strange creatures.

The Temptation of St Anthony

A bearded hermit in a dark cloak reads an open book at a stone table, beside a skull, a jug and a bottle. Around him in a rocky cave, witches on broomsticks, a flying creature, grotesque demonic figures and crouching animals press in, while a robed figure at lower left tends a book.
