The Sea Monster
An engraving in black ink on paper shows a sea creature with a woman's upper body and fish tail reclining on rippling water at lower right, beside a bearded older figure. Behind them, a fortified castle sits atop a rocky cliff above a river, with trees, clouds, and fine hatched lines throughout.
