The Moon Viewed in Oblique Sunlight, Stipple Engraving (1806)
A full moon fills a black circular field, its cratered surface rendered in fine stippled dots and shading, with bright highlights on the ridges and dark maria in the upper area. Below the disc, a scale grid and several lines of small engraved text fill the lower margin of the printed plate.
