Chaucer's Canterbury Pilgrims engraving

A long horizontal engraving shows a procession of mounted pilgrims in medieval-style dress moving past a stone gatehouse on the left, under a cloudy sky with a distant spire. Fine cross-hatched lines model the horses and riders, and a printed inscription runs along the lower edge of the sheet.
