Chromolithograph: a seated ascetic with crossed arms on a riverside rock, and a standing woman in a white sari with her hand to her chin, among green trees.

Shukra and Rambha, chromolithograph by Raja Ravi Varma, 1894

A seated young ascetic with bare torso and arms crossed sits on a rock by a river, while a woman in a flowing white sari stands barefoot on stones, one hand raised to her chin. Dense green foliage frames the scene, and the signed 1894 chromolithograph has vivid, layered printed colours.
