Seneca, engraving after a Roman marble bust
An engraved bust-length portrait of a bearded, curly-haired man with a furrowed brow and deep-set eyes, turned to his right against a hatched background. The sculptural shading mimics marble, and an inscription along the lower edge reads LUCIVS ANNAEVS SENECA.
