Painting of a nude man chained to rock while an eagle with spread wings attacks him; a second nude figure raises a branch behind, under a cloudy sky.

Prometheus Bound, Jacob Jordaens, 1640

A nude man lies twisted across the foreground, chained at the wrists to rock, as a large dark eagle with spread wings lunges at his torso. Behind, a second nude figure raises a leafy branch above a rocky ledge, under a cloudy sky with trees at left. Strong diagonals and warm flesh tones stand out against deep shadow in this oil painting.
