Painting of a muscular nude man twisting in chains against a dark, shadowy background, with one hand reaching out toward the viewer.

Prometheus, by Luca Giordano (1700)

A muscular nude man twists violently against a dark background, one wrist bound by a chain and shackle while the other hand reaches outward. Strong chiaroscuro lights his pale body against shadowy rock in this painting, which the record ascribes to Luca Giordano and dates to 1700.
