Gouache study of two nude figures on a dark blue ground, one in a wide-brimmed hat, the other in a winged helmet, surrounded by dark coiling shapes.

Perseus and Andromeda, study for The Doom Fulfilled

Two nude male figures stand against a deep blue ground, one seen from behind in a wide-brimmed hat, the other turned in profile in a winged helmet, both framed by dark, sinuous coiled forms. Painted in gouache with pale, scratched highlights, the composition is dense and angular, with faint lettering along the edges.
