Ophelia Among the Flowers

A dense bouquet of blue leaves, red berries and pale and violet blossoms rises on the left of this pastel-toned composition. A blue-green expanse and a glowing ochre sky fill the right, with a faint pale figure near the lower right edge. Soft, blurred strokes give the scene a dreamlike, symbolist quality.
