Medallion with Head of Medusa, Wedgwood jasperware
A round blue jasperware medallion carries a white relief of Medusa's head, framed by wavy hair, small snakes, and a pair of wings above the brow. The face is calm and frontal, with downcast eyes and a softly modeled nose and mouth. Two small loops at the edges suggest how it was mounted.
