Study of a Woman in Profile, Oil on Canvas

An unfinished oil study on canvas shows a woman in profile, head bowed and gazing downward, with dark curled hair, a pale drop earring, and a loose light garment. Behind her, a broad mass of dark reddish-brown paint sweeps across the left, while loose contour lines wander over the lower figure and bare canvas.
