Etching of a rustic interior with a seated old man, a helmeted youth at left, a bearded man holding a bowl, and a kneeling headscarved woman at right.

Jupiter Visits Philemon and Baucis, etching by Carl Russ, 1809

Aquatint and etching of a rustic interior where a bare-chested old man sits at a table while a helmeted youth leans in from the left, an older bearded man holds a bowl behind, and a headscarved woman kneels at right. Jugs on shelves and a hanging lamp add strong tonal contrast.
