Jesus Christ, Stipple Engraving after Carlo Dolci (1811)

A monochrome stipple engraving shows a long-haired, bearded man raising one hand and gazing upward beneath a halo. He holds a bread loaf in his other hand, and a chalice and small plate rest on a draped white tablecloth before him. The soft dotted modelling gives the dark robe and glowing background a gentle, devotional mood.
