Head of a Buddha, bronze with traces of gilding

A dark bronze head of a Buddha with closed, downcast eyes, a broad nose, and a serene, slight smile. Tightly coiled snail-shell curls cover the cranium, rising to a raised ushnisha, and long earlobes frame the face. The neck breaks off unevenly at the base.
