Engraved plate showing galvanic experiments on animal carcasses and vessels, with men at work on tables and numbered diagrams above.

Galvanism experiments on animal heads, 1804 engraving

An engraved plate of galvanic experiments: in the upper row, three numbered figures show metal vessels and a glass bell jar with arms or wires applied. The lower scene shows two men working on animal carcasses on tables, one bending over an ox head, another touching a hind limb of a cow with wires, while a bell jar stands at center. Fine line hatching and a framed border define the composition.
