Demonstration of the Uterus of a Pregnant Woman and Her Full-Term Child
A black-and-white engraved anatomical plate shows a pregnant woman's abdomen opened to reveal a full-term fetus curled head-down within its membranes, with the uterine wall peeled back around it. Fine cross-hatching models the infant's skin and the folded drapery, and a second, smaller form appears in the upper right of the composition.
