Painting of the Virgin Mary kneeling by a book while an angel with a lily and wings kneels before her, with a dove and cherubs in golden clouds above.

The Annunciation to the Virgin Mary

A kneeling Virgin Mary in a red dress and blue mantle turns modestly before a book on a small table, as an angel kneels opposite, raising one finger and holding a lily. A dove and cherubs in clouds fill the glowing golden sky above, in a painting with dramatic light and shadow.
