August: Harvest Labours, from The Twelve Months
An engraved circular scene of a summer harvest in a rolling landscape. A horse-drawn cart loaded with sheaves dominates the left, while a reaper in the foreground cradles grain and figures rest in the stubble, with a village and church beyond. The word AUGVSTVS appears above the circle.
