Cameo Portrait of Tiberius in Gold and Enamel Pendant

A white carved profile head faces left, set within an oval gold frame worked with black enamel and fine gold scrollwork. A pale pearl hangs from the base of the pendant, and a loop at the top allows it to be worn. The laurel-like hair and carved relief suggest an ancient cameo mounted in a later setting.
