Optics: an eye in a star with putti and the spectrum
A hand-coloured stipple engraving shows a large eye at the centre of an eight-pointed star whose spokes carry the colours of the spectrum. Around it, winged putti hold a prism, a telescope, a rod in water, and a camera obscura, set against dark clouds with the word Optics below.
