Birth of the Juste Milieu, 1831 French political caricature lithograph

A black-and-white lithograph of a crowded interior with men in military uniforms and frock coats gathered around a central birth scene. A small naked infant stands near a rooster, a Gallic emblem, while a reclining figure in pale drapery is attended at the right; a caption reads 'Naissance du juste milieu'.
