Black-and-white engraving of crowded classical figures near a colonnade, with a seated reader and sculptures on the ground, a seascape behind, and text panels below.

Allegory of Statuary, or Lament of Sculpture

A dense black-and-white engraving of a crowded classical scene: robed and armored figures gather before a colonnade, while a seated woman reads at lower center and sculptural forms lie among scattered objects. Fine parallel hatching models the bodies, and a rocky seascape with distant ships opens the background, with verse panels along the lower edge.
