A Cuckoo Against the Moon

A cuckoo in flight crosses a large pale moon set against deep blue, cloud-like bands of color. The bird's wings are spread in a diagonal sweep, its finely lined plumage rendered in pale grey and dark strokes. The composition is framed by a rounded fan-shaped edge, with a blank cream area at the lower center.
