Old scholar playing the qin

An elderly robed scholar sits before a long qin zither laid across a low table, with a young attendant in green tending a small pot at left. Scrolls, a brush vase, a cloth bag and incense objects fill the foreground, and a column of calligraphy runs down the upper left of the painting on silk.
