March thro' a swamp or Marsh in Terra-firma

An engraving shows a group of men in hats and jackets wading through a swamp, lifting long poles above the murky water while palms and leafy trees rise behind them. At lower left, a man with dark skin and bare shoulders rises from the water, and fine hatched lines give the scene a black-and-white printed texture.
